Eastern Nile Irrigation and Drainage Studies: Cooperative Regional Assessment Phase II: CRA Analysis

The study, covering all the three EN countries (Ethiopia, Egypt and Sudan), undertook trans-boundary, distributive and institutional analysis, and identified the existing challenges and opportunities associated with irrigation development in the EN sub basin. Trans-boundary irrigation development scenarios were identified and the costs and benefits that will accrue across countries determined. The various levels and modes of cooperation have also been examined and the process that could be adopted for cooperation in Irrigation & Drainage sector proposed.
