    To promote the Eastern Nile (EN) Joint Multipurpose Program (JMP), inventories containing information on socio-economic issue was made for the three Eastern Nile countries (Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan). Subsequent to the need to compile these relevant country-based information at sub-basin level, three thematic synthesis reports were prepared with relevant info and data organized for the four main Eastern Nile sub-basins: Abay-Blue Nile, Baro-Akobo-Sobat-White Nile, Tekeze-Setit-Atbara, and Main Nile.

    This report presents results of the second phase of the Forestry Master Plan Study for the Abbay Basin. It includes results of low-intensity reconnaissance forest survey of the Basin. As originally envisaged in the Inception Report, the forest inventory activity was designed and conducted to serve the purpose of filling in identified data deficiencies /gaps during documentation review and analysis and is meant to serve as a basis for outlining a development strategy and master plan for the conservation and development of the forestry resources of the Abbay River Basin.

    Advancing Drought Monitoring, Prediction, and Early Warning System in the Eastern n Nile Basin: Final Report

    The overall objective of the project has been to develop a demonstration seasonal hydrological forecast system for the Eastern Nile (EN) Basin. The system monitors climate and hydrology in near real-time, and produces climate and hydrological forecasts on a seasonal (out to 6 months) basis aimed at drought forecasting. The system is updated daily, and runs about 1–2 days behind real-time, which is based on the availability and latency of the contributing data products.

    BARO AKOBO SOBAT MULTIPURPOSE WATER RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT STUDY - Integrated Water Resources Development and Management Plan

    IWRDM Plan for the Baro-Akobo-Sobat (BAS) sub-basin produced by the Baro-Akobo-Sobat Multi-Purpose Water Resource Development Study, that details a shared vision of the future development of the sub-basin as well as the strategic objectives required to reach this vision. Based on an Options Analysis, it identifies strategic options, and develops strategic actions to achieve the objectives. After detailing the specific actions related to each strategic objective, it discusses an implementation strategy (principles and schedule), carries out a Cost Benefit Analysis of the Plan and recommends an institutional framework (roadmap) to implement the Plan.
